How it works

From a few lines to a tested decision

A Pixatom audit takes about 20 minutes of your time and ends with a brief your team can act on and a prototype you can test. Here is each step, using a free trial for a team scheduling app as the example.

  1. 01 Describe the flow 2 min
  2. 02 Answer a few questions 2 min
  3. 03 Check the flow we draw 3 min
  4. 04 Review each gap 10 min
  5. 05 Share the brief 1 min
  6. 06 Test it with real people A few days

Step 1

Describe the flow you are about to build

Pick the kind of flow, then write who it is for, the steps people go through and what worries you about it. A few lines are enough. You can paste notes or a spec instead.

Who is it for?

Team leads at small companies trying our scheduling tool

What do users go through?

1. Sign up with email and add a card upfront
2. Onboarding checklist
3. Use the product for 14 days
4. On day 14 we charge the Pro plan automatically

What worries you about it?

People never reaching the point where the product is useful, and refunds from those who forgot the trial

Step 2

Answer a few questions

Pixatom asks only what changes the answer: where people sign up and pay, which countries you sell in, and what success looks like for this flow.

  • Where do people start the trial? On the web
  • Which countries do you sell in?UK and US
  • What would make this flow a success?More trials that turn into paid teams, fewer refunds

Step 3

Check the flow we draw

Your description becomes a flow map. Steps with a gap are flagged, and steps your plan is missing are added with a dashed outline. If the map is wrong, fix it with simple step edits before the review.

  1. Step 1 Sign up with email
Gap found at this step Step your plan is missing

Step 4

Review each gap

Every gap says what it could cost, how others handle it and what backs it: a published rule, real products from the evidence library, or general practice that you should test first.

  • A second AI pass checks every finding before you see it.
  • Agree keeps it in the brief. Not relevant drops it. Tell me more explains it.
  • You keep the judgement. Pixatom brings the method and the evidence.

No reminder before the trial converts

Fix before launch

Required by UK subscription rules; seen in Tidal

Surprise charges lead to refunds and chargebacks, the exact worry in your notes.

Fix Email and in-app reminder three days before the first charge, with the date, the amount and a one-click cancel.

Step 5

Share a decision brief

The gaps you kept become a one-page brief: two options with their trade-offs, a recommendation, and the cheapest way to test the riskiest assumption. Share it by link with people who do not have an account.

Decision brief

Free trial for a team scheduling app

Option A · Recommended

Card upfront, with a reminder

Keep the card step, add a reminder three days before charging and a one-click cancel.

Option B

No card until day 14

More trials start, fewer convert. Needs an upgrade prompt at the right moment.

Riskiest assumption

Team leads reach a useful schedule in their first session.

Cheapest test

Five team leads try the prototype and set up next week's rota.

Step 6

Test it with five people

Pixatom builds a clickable prototype of the recommended flow in your product's own brand, with a short test plan: who to recruit, what to ask them to do and what to watch for.

  • Ask for changes to the prototype in plain words.
  • Share the prototype by link with the people you test with.
  • Log what you learn. Each assumption is marked as held up, broken or still open, and the plan updates.

What Pixatom does not do

  • It does not build your product or write production code. The prototype is for testing ideas with people.
  • It does not give legal advice. When a gap relies on a rule, it names the rule so you can check it with your legal team.
  • It does not need access to your code, analytics or billing system. You describe the flow in words.
  • It does not decide for you. You choose which gaps matter and which option to take.
