Subscription and billing flows

Find the gaps in your billing flow before your customers do.

Trials that convert without warning, failed payments that lock people out, upgrades that charge an amount nobody expected. Describe the flow you plan to build and Pixatom shows what is missing, what it could cost and how to test the fix.

Problems it catches

Gaps it catches in billing flows

Examples of the gaps an audit raises. In a real audit each one names its sources, and you agree with it or mark it not relevant.

A failed payment downgrades the account straight away

Fix soon

Seen in failed payment flows in the evidence library

Paying users whose card simply expired lose access mid-task, and some never come back.

Fix A grace period while payment is retried, a clear banner, and an "Update card" link that opens the card form directly.

The upgrade screen does not show what is charged today

Fix soon

Seen in upgrade flows in the evidence library

An unexpected prorated charge turns into support tickets and disputed payments.

Fix Show the amount charged today and the next renewal date before the final button.

The first price shown leaves out mandatory fees

Fix soon

Required by UK and EU price transparency rules

Drip pricing is a legal risk, and people who feel misled abandon checkout.

Fix Show the full price, including any mandatory fees, from the first time a price appears.

No route for people who subscribed on iPhone

Fix before launch

Required by Apple App Store rules

They hit a dead end in your settings, then ask Apple or their bank for a refund.

Questions

Is this legal advice?

No. Pixatom points out where a flow touches published rules, such as subscription and pricing rules, and names them so you know what to check. For a final view on compliance, ask your legal team.

Does it connect to Stripe or my billing system?

No. You describe the flow in plain words. Pixatom does not need access to your billing data or your code.

What if my flow is mostly on iPhone or Android?

Tell Pixatom where people subscribe. It checks app store rules as well as web flows and marks where a step has to hand over to Apple or Google.
