Onboarding and sign-up flows

Catch the gaps that cost you sign-ups, before you ship.

A sign-up flow looks simple on a whiteboard. In real life people get stuck on email verification, leave at the card form, or finish onboarding without ever reaching the point where the product is useful. Pixatom finds those gaps in your plan.

Emails land in spam or arrive late, and new sign-ups leave before they see the product.

Fix Let people continue and verify later, with "Resend" and "Change email" on the waiting screen.

Set-up comes before anything useful happens

Fix before launch

Seen in onboarding flows in the evidence library

People finish a long set-up without reaching the moment that shows the product is worth it.

Fix Reach a first useful result in the first session; move optional set-up to later.

A card is required before people see any value

Fix soon

Seen in trial onboarding flows in the evidence library

Fewer sign-ups start, and those who forget the trial turn into refunds.

Fix Decide card upfront or card later on purpose, and test both with real people.

No way to pick up where they left off

Worth checking

People who switch device or get interrupted start again, or do not come back.

Fix Save progress as they go and send a link back to the step they reached.

Invited teammates land in an empty workspace

Worth checking

Seen in team invite flows in the evidence library

New members do not know what to do first, so the team never adopts the product.

Questions

Can I audit a flow that already exists?

Yes. Describe the flow as it works today, or as you plan to change it, and say what worries you about it. The audit works the same way.

Do I need designs or screenshots?

No. A few lines describing the steps are enough. You can paste notes or a spec if you have them.

How long does an audit take?

Most of an audit is your own review of each gap. Expect around 20 minutes to reach a shareable brief, then a few days for the user test.
